Activate - Gatlinburg

This was so much fun! You will definitely work up a sweat and I would bot recommend this for people who have a harder time moving (elderly, knee/back problems, etc) as there is quite a lot of physical activity required. That being said, I would totally come back. They did have the floor grid room out of service which was disappointing (no discount and that’s considering that is one of the most sought out rooms) and I would totally recommend going when there isn’t a lot of people because there is a limit to how many people can go in the rooms at a time and your time is running even if you aren’t playing, so you wouldn’t get to play too much if there were wait times. *EDIT* added some fun videos! Totally recommend coming in cool clothes because it gets hot quite quickly!

We had a blast at Activate! I would say definitely dress to crawl around, jump, and climb. You have an hour to play as many games as you want and there are a lot of game versions we never even played so there was plenty to choose from. They also have free lockers for your stuff that you can access at any time which is really helpful. We are all adults and had so much fun so I would say this place is for all ages, but be ready to move A LOT.

This place gets a 12/10 from me just based on customer service alone. I had the best experience making a reservation with Monica over the phone. She was enthusiastic and willing to answer all of my questions in detail! She even answered questions not directly related to my reservation, but about traveling to the area in general.I’m hosting a huge cabin trip and was looking for something engaging to do with all my friends! I’m glad I came across this place.

We showed up during a busy timeframe, which would normally reduce the experience for people and possibly give others a 3-4 Star feel but trust me when I say these are just so much fun and the amount of rooms you can do in the time slot ( we did an hour) is crazy! When you get to have the place to yourself because it's not busy and it's just your group of people, you can stay in the activate rooms longer, but if it's just really busy (4pm on a Saturday for us) you will only be in the room for one game session till you die. Each time you tap into a room, wait your turn if someone is in the room (taping in will force the current room to end when they lose all their lives and make it impossible to hit the reset button from within) and then you will go into the room and play what you picked. Highly recommend going. Get a good group of active people and you will be able to get through the difficulty of the room faster and can earn more points for your account. We got these cool water bottles at the end. If you keep your account and use it, you can earn other cool awards as you progress! Stop reading this and just go!!
